LET’S CELEBRATE 100 YEARS OF COMBINED LOCKS!!

It took 100 years to get to this point for the Village of Combined Locks and that is something special to celebrate. The 32nd annual Paperfest and the Village of Combined Locks Centennial Celebration has officially been postponed until July 15-18, 2021 at Memorial Park in Combined Locks.

Kim-Com Promotions, the nonprofit that organizes Paperfest, was approached by Village of Combined Locks officials to host a Centennial Celebratoin for the village as they celebrate 100 years. The 4 day event will feature usual Paperfest events plus a couple special events such as fireworks, a parade, and historical trolley tours.

Mark your calendars for a historically good time. The event will embrace all of the fun and excitement of Paperfest and the history and traditions of the Village of Combined Locks. Combined Locks turned 100 years old in 2020 and Paperfest is bringing the party!

About the Village of Combined Locks

Combined Locks, located in Outagamie County, makes up the heart of the valley with neighboring communities the Village of Kimberly, Village of Little Chute, and City of Kaukauna. Combined Locks is a community with easy access to surrounding attractions throughout northeast Wisconsin and althrough it is mostly residential, it is home to a handful of businesses including Midwest Paper Group.

To those who call Combined Locks home, the special qualities this quiet village has to offer are obvious. It’s a community where neighbors are friendly, and kids can have fun, play safely, and attend quality schools. The Combined Locks Advancement Association is heavily involved in recreation activities, particularly youth sports. The Village of Combined Locks also boasts beautiful parks, on of which is Memorial Park, home to Paperfest in 2021.

The Village of Combined Locks started as a mill town, linked to the paper industry of the Fox River Valley. The village was named after the combined boat locks that skirted the Fox River shoreline. It was in 1916 when the Combined Locks Paper Company was organized and the idea of village incorporation got started. Combined Locks officially became a village in August of 1920.
