About the Village of Combined Locks

Combined Locks, located in Outagamie County, makes up the heart of the valley with neighboring communities the Village of Kimberly, Village of Little Chute, and City of Kaukauna. Combined Locks is a community with easy access to surrounding attractions throughout northeast Wisconsin and althrough it is mostly residential, it is home to a handful of businesses including Midwest Paper Group.

To those who call Combined Locks home, the special qualities this quiet village has to offer are obvious. It's a community where neighbors are friendly, and kids can have fun, play safely, and attend quality schools. The Combined Locks Advancement Association is heavily involved in recreation activities, particularly youth sports. The Village of Combined Locks also boasts beautiful parks, on of which is Memorial Park, home to Paperfest 2020.

The Village of Combined Locks started as a mill town, linked to the paper industry of the Fox River Valley. The village was named after the combined boat locks that skirted the Fox River shoreline. It was in 1916 when the Combined Locks Paper Company was organized and the idea of village incorporation got started. Combined Locks officially became a village in August of 1920.
